Senior guard, Abby Maggard, took a visit Friday to Centre College and walked away with an offer.
Last year for the Knott County Central Lady Patriots, Maggard led her team in scoring averaging 13.6 points per game. Maggard led her team to a record of 19-11 and a 53rd District Championship appearance.
Maggard transferred to Hazard for the 2022-2023 season and will end her high school career as a Lady Bulldog.
Hazard Lady Bulldog head coach, Todd Howard comments, “…She’s a great player on the court, incredible teammate, super student and still finds a way to be an even better person. Wherever she decides to attend to further her education will be getting a top notch player and family…”
As regular season begins in November and Maggard continues to demonstrate all she is capable of, more college coaches will find her. Keep an eye on this young lady as she strives to help bring the winning culture back to the Lady Bulldogs.
