Last night, the Lawrence County Lady Bulldogs faced off against the Belfry Lady Pirates for the 2 A Regional Title in girls soccer action. The Lady Bulldogs were led to the 5-1 victory by their Senior Jasmine Justice as she had a team high 3 goals. Brylee Blair added 1 goal and 1 assist while Maggie Johnson added the final goal. Alyssa Moore, Jenna Sammons and Alyssa Howard each contributed 1 assist respectively.
The victory brings the Lady Bulldogs record to 6-3 on the season while the Lady Pirates fall to 2-4. Belfry will be back in action Saturday as Martin County travels to Pond Creek. The Lady Bulldogs next scheduled game is against the Johnson Central Lady Golden Eagles on September 14th.

Last night, Johnson Central traveled to Huntington, WV to take on St. Joseph Central. The Golden Eagles outscored St. Joe 3-1 to come out with the victory. Johnson Central had a balanced scoring attack with three ladies breaking into the scoring column. Seniors Haley Lykins and Abigail Williams each scored 1 goal while Junior Lakin Bentley added the final goal. Both Claire Gamble and Brooklyn Ousley dished out 1 assist each.
The defense held St. Joseph to only one goal thanks to the goalkeeper Clara Blair who had 5 saves on the night. The win moves Johnson Central to 5-3-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles will be back in action Saturday as they take on Rock Hill, OH.
