In the 2 A Classic last night, the Lawrence County Lady Bulldogs faced off against the Lady Vikings from Rowan County. The Lady Bulldogs came out victorious 6-4. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Junior Alyssa Howard who scored 3 goals and had 1 assist to push her team to victory. Also scoring was Alyssa Moore who had 1 goal and 1 assist, Jasmine Justice and Maggie Johnson each had 1 goal respectively. Kathy Compton had 1 assist and Brylee Blair dished out 2 assists.
Next up for Lawrence County, they continue in the 2 A classic tonight as they taken on the Belfry Lady Pirates. Rowan County will be back in action on the 11th against Harrison County.
In the ALL A Classic held in Pikeville this week, the Paintsville Lady Tigers faced off against the host team the Pikeville Lady Panthers. The Paintsville Lady Tigers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back holding the Lady Panthers scoreless 4-0. The Lady Tigers were led by Junior Camryn Helton who had 3 goals and one assist while Leandra Curnutte with 1 goal and 1 assist. Senior Chelsea Reynolds held the Lady Panthers scoreless with 6 goals saved.
The Lady Tigers will advance to take on the winner of the Prestonsburg vs. Martin County later in the week.
