Pikeville Middle School cross country runners Cadence Compton (7th grade) and her sister Charlize Compton (6th grade) competed in the State KTCCCA Meet of Champions at Bourbon County yesterday.
Cadence finished fourth overall (of 159 runners) in the State Middle School 4K meter Open Race with a time of 17:25.
Charlize finished first (of 122 runners) in the State 6th Grade and Under 3K Open Race with a time of 12:35.
Congratulations to these young ladies for an amazing performance. Great job of representing the mountains.
