Monday Soccer Update

Boys – In the 16th region it was the East Carter Raiders taking on the Russell Red Devils in boys’ action. The Raiders came out strong and were able to defend off the Red Devils in a 3-1 victory.  A breakdown of the scoring is listed below:

The win brings the Raiders record to 3-4 on the season.  Next up for the Raiders, Ashland Blazer travels to Grayson on Tuesday.  The loss drops Russell’s record to 7-3 on the season.  The Red Devils will face off against the Lawrence Co. Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Boys – It was the Menifee County Wildcats taking on the Estill County Engineers. The Wildcats came out on top with a close 1-0 victory, this improves their record to a 9-1. The leading scorer for this game was Jayden Cohelia.

Next up for the Wildcats, they will face the Prestonsburg Blackcats in the All A Tournament on Friday.  The loss drops the Engineers record to 5-5 on the season.  They will host Bluegrass United on Thursday.

Girls – In the girls action it was the Paintsville Tigers and the Belfry Pirates. The Tigers jumped up quick and never looked back with a 6-1 Victory. This improves their record to 7-6. Below is a recap of scoring for both teams:

Girls – It was the West Carter Lady Comets and the Rowan County Lady Vikings facing off in a tough hard fought game. The Comets taking the game with a 3-1 victory. The leading scorers for the Comets were Kassidy Adams with 1 goal and 1 assist, Keyara Reynolds with 1 goal, Destiny Davis with 1 goal, Hannah Henderson and Jordan Porter with 1 assist apiece. This improves their record to 6-2.

Next up for the Lady Comets, the Lady Wildcats of Menifee County will visit Grayson on Thursday in another 16th Region matchup.  The loss drops the record for Rowan County to 2-8 on the season.  They will be at home Tuesday as Bluegrass United travels to Morehead to take on the on the Lady Vikings.
