Final Round of the Alice Lloyd Fall Invitational – UPIKE takes Ladies title while Roane State Claims Men’s Title

The final round of the Alice Lloyd Fall Golf Invitational is in the books and the UPIKE ladies claim the team championship in the female division.  UPIKE was led again by former Martin County standout Boo Newsome who finished 2 under par for the two day event to win the individual ladies title by 15 strokes.  All 5 UPIKE ladies finished inside the Top 15 individually.

In the men’s division it was Roane State Community College with the come from behind victory to pass UPIKE for 1st place in the team division.  On the final day, Roane’s 4 man team shot a 2 over par to seal the victory.  Below is a list of team totals:

In the individual competition, it was Kentucky State’s Michah Strangebye 5 under par two day total to clinch 1st place.  Former Prestonsburg standout and current Alice Lloyd Eagle took runner up honors a two day finish of 3 under par.
