The Prestonsburg Girls and Boys Soccer Teams make a clean sweep to 57th District Soccer Tournaments and advance to Regional play.
The Lady Blackcats continue their outstanding season by winning the 57th District tournament for their 4th consecutive year by defeating Johnson Central 3-1. The win pushes the Lady Blackcat record to 18-1 overall and 12-0 in Regional Play.
The following girls were named to the All tournament team:
Johnson Central – Haley Lykins, Lakin Bentley, Clara Blair
Martin Co – Kaitlyn Gauze, Sophie McCoy, Lena Hale
Paintsville– Camryn Helton, Ava Hyden, Adaline Doderer
Prestonsburg– Anna Burchett, Chloe Collins, Lexi Skeens
On the Boys side, the Prestonsburg Blackcats continue their winning ways with their 3rd consecutive Boys 57th District title defeating the Johnson Central Golden Eagles 6-0. The win pushed the Blackcat season record to 19-2 overall and 13-0 in regional play on the season.
The Boys All District Team was announced with the following players receiving the recognition:
Prestonsburg: Isaiah Collins, Ben Burchett, Matt Burchett
Johnson Central: Sawyer Crum, Gabriel Johnson, Brayden Staniford
Martin County: Isaiah Zuidema, Reece Merrill, Bobby Hale (not pictured) Paintsville: Dylan Pugh (not pictured), Owen Trador (not pictured), Ashton Miller (not pictured).
